We are visiting the Katingan-Mentaya Project. 

 

It helps native tribes in Borneo to preserve rain forest and sell it as carbon offset footprint to big corporations. It creates economic opportunities while helping with environment.

 

This groundbreaking carbon credit initiative is testament to the potential of carbon finance in combating climate change. Generating 7.5 million triple gold certified carbon credits annually – equivalent to removing 2,000,000 cars from the road each year .

 

Through strategic partnerships with local communities, it channels carbon revenues to drive natural forest restoration in alignment with the UN SDGs.
